Registration Procedure

  • Step 1: You need to apply online through the official website.
  • Step 2: Confirmation through the mail and mobile number
  • Step 3: The next step is to submit/upload all the documents and pay the required fees
  • Step 4: You will be provided with a 17-digit code once the registration is complete

  • Company licence received under Shops and Establishment Act or Factories Act
  • Certificate of registration of commencement of the venture and other entities, if any
  • Certificate of registration
  • List of shareholders, directors, partners
  • List of employees with their monthly compensation
  • PAN card of the venture
  • Address Proof of the venture
  • Bank details along with the beginning of operations of the venture

ESI stands for Employee State Insurance. It is a government regulated insurance scheme for all the employees and their families as health insurance covering sickness, maternity, disability, etc.

Every shop, establishment, and factory consisting of more than 10 employees are required to register under ESI.

Employee contributes 6.5 % out of his/her total amount that goes for ESI. Only 1.75% is deducted from the employee’s salary, rest is contributed by the employer.

The government has introduced multiple health care benefits for poor families. Ones covered under NHPS scheme can access the medical facilities through ESI Hospitals. Besides, employees covered under the ESI scheme are entitled to medical treatment for them and their dependents.
